ABOUT BACKWOODS TAXIDERMY

Chris Goch founded Backwoods Taxidermy in 1983 but his experience extends far beyond 30 years. His grandfather first took him hunting at the tender age of four and he has since been an avid outdoorsman. At only 10 years old, Chris began dabbling in the art of taxidermy and began working with a licensed taxidermist after graduating high school.

His passion for the art only became stronger as time passed and he soon began to compete in taxidermy competitions – further enhancing his experience and skill. Since then, he has traveled across the United States and Africa to study natural wildlife habitats, enabling him to provide his clients with trophies that are not only high quality, but realistic.

Today, Chris has completed more than 2,000 mounts from traditional whitetail deer to African lions, and has countless returning customers.
